Juanita Neighborhood Plan

As part of the Kirkland 2044 Comprehensive Plan, the City recently adopted the Juanita Neighborhood Plan. We are working with the City to ensure that the various elements of the JNP - including those surrounding land use, the environment, parks, and transportation - are implemented as quickly and effectively as possible.

Juanita Garden Tour

The JNA hosts the Juanita Garden Tour so that neighborhood residents can enjoy North Kirkland's beautiful gardens and to raise money for student community service awards. To learn more and register for this summer's garden tour, visit juanitagardentour.org.

The JNA supports youth leadership in our neighborhood through the Student Community Service award, given to a Juanita High School student who has invested their efforts into making Juanita better.

Neighborhood Safety Program & Neighborhood Grant Matching Program

The JNA works with the City to administer the Neighborhood Safety Program, which provides grants up to $75,000 in order to identify, prioritize, and address pedestrian and bicycle safety issues in our neighborhood. Similarly, the JNA serves as a conduit for Neighborhood Matching Grants, which utilize City funds to improve quality of life in our neighborhood. Have an idea for a project? Contact us.

Neighborhood Beautification

The JNA works year-round to ensure Juanita's beauty is at its maximum. This includes the installation of holiday lighting at Juanita Village, the maintenance of overgrown vegetation, park clean-ups, sponsorship of neighborhood improvement projects, the creation of historical interpretive signs, and more.

Uplifting Neighbors

The JNA is passionate about lifting up our neighbors when they need it, however they need it. For example, in December 2021, the JNA decided that the doctors and nurses at Evergreen Health needed to be reminded that the community appreciated them. The JNA gave them a "Thank You" plaque plus 250 coupons for free Jersey Mike's sub sandwiches.
